School of the Year is a points-based competition that integrates school’s participation within Wanderers programs focusing on students engagement with the club, healthy lifestyles and educational outcomes.
To join the competition schools are asked to nominate a School Ambassador who will be the main liaison between the school and the club.
Each school is then asked to complete a set amount of challenges to earn points and be in the running for the major prize – to host the 2017 Community School Carnival which includes a team appearance with football activities. Throughout the competition period, there are chances to win monthly prizes as well as visits from Wanderers players.

COMMUNITY SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY
Whilst the support of the Western Sydney Community is what drives us on the field, off the field supporting the community is an integral driver to us as a club. While we aim to increase the size of our football community, it is the overall community itself in which we aim to make a real difference and add value to. We do this both through our football programs as well as our specifically targeted education and social programs to best help those who will benefit most from our support.
